Q & A Interview with Arvee Robinson
1. If you could TITLE your personal story, what would that title be?
Speaking is a Learned Skill and You Can Learn it Too!
2. Does your personal and business life feel well balanced or like a
juggling act – and how so? It is absolutely well balanced. I wouldn’t have it
any other way. I start my day by working out which keeps me relaxed and focused
throughout the day. Next, I plan my day on paper and prioritize the most important events
of the day. At lunchtime I have a healthy salad. At 7:00pm I end my day and prepare a
healthy dinner for my honey. Afterwards, we kick back and enjoy a relaxing evening together.
I love my life.
3. What inspires you to do what you do and to inspire others?
Most business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs struggle with how to articulate what
they do so people want to do business with them. They have difficulty with their elevator
pitch, their self introduction and their sales presentation. Most of them are not even using
public speaking to get more business.
I believe that everyone has a message to share with the world and that it is your moral
obligation to get that message out. Your products and services will help people be better off
in some way. I teach people how to get their message to the world and feel confident about it.
4. How do you describe what you do? I teach business owners, service professionals,
and entrepreneurs how to generate quality leads, attract more clients, and explode their
businesses by using Public Speaking as a marketing strategy.
5. Who are your ideal clients to work with? Business owners, service professionals, and
entrepreneurs who are coachable and understand the value of having a mentor or coach to
get them where they want to go faster.
6. How does your business benefit your clientele? What I teach people makes them
money for the rest of their lives!
7. What key factors make you a success in your work? I’ve created systems, formulas
and templates. These proven speaking systems for a killer elevator pitch, a magnetic
introduction and a persuasive sales presentation have been perfected over time. Now they
are proven to relieve anxiety, create confidence and achieve results.
8. What “behind the scenes ‘success’ strategies” can you share? One of the secrets
to becoming a more persuasive speaker is to find out what your audience wants and give it
to them. Let them know you understand their problem. Describe the pain and suffering
caused by that problem and share with them the solution – YOU. Finally, show them how
they will be better off having used your products or services. They will buy every time.
9. Is there anything you have done in your life or business that has catapulted you
to a new level of success? Yes, I have worked with mentors and coaches. I find someone
who is doing what I want to learn how to do and I hire them to teach me. If you want to
grow, work with experts.
10. Do you have any personal success philosophy you can pass on? I believe in the
greatness of others and I see it all the time. I know most people have a message to share
that is important for someone to hear. It’s time. Remember speaking is a learned skill and
you can learn it too.
11. What are the benefits of business owners getting out there and speaking to
groups? Because it positions you as an expert and people like to buy from experts.
Secondly, it’s a great way for people to get to know you and people buy from people they
know, like, and trust. Also, it’s one of the most inexpensive marketing strategy around. It
costs very little time to attend a networking event and deliver a speech compared to other
marketing endeavors. Lastly, it’s a fast way to build your database. Just ask your audience to
participate in a raffle, give them something for free and collect their business cards. It’s a win
win.
